Elderslie Farm is currently searching for a server (21 or older) for our evening dinner service 2-3 evenings a week from 4:45 until close (typically around 10 to 10:30 pm). Our regular service nights are Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Private events are also possible on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Because of seasonality some weeks will have as many as 4-5 shifts available, but most weeks it will be 2-3.
Since we are a fine dining restaurant, a candidate with experience in formal settings/service would be preferable; however, valuable qualities in a server are adaptation and application of new ideas, methods, and service patterns. We will provide thorough training.
We are interested in candidates who would be able to potentially be with us for at least a year or more.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Serve guests in a formal dining setting and be part of an integrated service team serving a multi-course prix fixe menu with wine pairings. All courses are presented from memory.
Perform opening and/or closing tasks as scheduled
Serve items on our dinner menu to customers
Communicate customer needs to kitchen
Work quickly and efficiently to ensure efficient service
Engage with customers in a friendly manner
Answer inquiries about all facets of Elderslie Farm
