DAIRY MILKING HAND

Brief Description: Elderslie Farm is seeking someone passionate about animals and willing to do careful, thorough work in an organized environment.

Sunday-Friday evenings 5pm-7:30pm

*Note on hours: 2 hours is the current milking shift. There may be variables that cause the shift to finish early or run late based on unforeseen circumstances. Please be sure you have at least 30 minutes of extra time available in case that should happen.

*Scheduled vacation is available but must be scheduled more than two weeks ahead of time and confirmed with George Elder.  

Responsibilities:

  1. Leading six milkings per week
  2. Helping maintain the parlor and dairy barn

Personal Qualities:  Must be interested in animals and their welfare, enjoy working with energy in a team and be interested in doing careful thorough work with accountability to checklists and rigorous standards or organization and sanitation.

Pay:  Varies based on experience, knowledge and ability. $9-$14 per hour.
